Immediatly after the relegation in 4th Div. Sampdoria´s chairman Massimo Ferrero called the talented Mr. Marco De Angelis to assign the bench for the next year.
De Angelis has been manager of Hellas Verona for only 3 months, getting the team with just 5 points after 15 games and leading them to an unexpected salvation in the last day of the season. In so short lapse of time, where several other teams put their eyes on Marco´s skills, Sampdoria presented him a very SERIOUS project to fight for direct promotion already in 1st Div. next season and to win SMFA-WCC-HJD- Young Cup in the next future. Marco couldn´t say "NO" to such a big vision. Good for Sampdoria because whispers however said that Milan was interested to him but Mr. Beddows victory last night broke the hopes of Galliani and Berlusconi to bring De Angelis to Milano.

Ferrero just got the positive answer from Marco "I felt like I won a championship! I strongly believe Marco is the new Messiah of the trainers"said the happy and moved chairman.
